A Trio of Cross-Overs

This week's MEG-A-RAE features promos for upcoming library programs beginning next month, as well as "cross-over" reading suggestions for teens and adults.  It's a mini-series in itself!  For purposes of time management, there are three parts.

P.S.  The most intriguing cross-over from pop to punk music (if that's a correct classification) was the Sex Pistols cover of the Monkees' hit, "(I'm Not Your) Steppin' Stone" (1966), written by Tommy Boyce & Bobby Hart. Above is the Sex Pistols' concert version from the CD Filthy Lucre Live (1996), followed (below) by the Monkees' version, which appeared on the album More of the Monkees (1966).  (Actually, the song was first recorded in 1966 by Paul Revere & the Raiders, appearing on the LP Midnight Ride [1966].)  Hey, maybe you can find the Paul Revere version on YouTube.  Listen and compare.
