Fall Decor @ MPL

The Decorinator has been busy changing library decorations to a Fall motif. That time of year, already. Click the images to bigify.

I don't know about you, but I find scarecrows unsettling.  There's something peculiar going on there.  They LOOK like people, but they sure don't SMELL like people.  What's up with that?  But these are pretty cute, I must say.

Willie and Hank must be Indianapolis Colts fans.  They could probably play for the team, if they had arms and legs.  Their heads would certainly be hard enough that they wouldn't really need helmets.

This certainly puts us here at the Library (well, I'm told to stay outside--there's the bum's rush, to be sure) in the Autumnal mood.  Soon there will be fallen leaves for kitties to pounce into.  That's a good way to find some meeces.

P.S.  My tagline comes from "A Summer Song" (1964) by Chad & Jeremy. It was the duo's second single and reached #7 on Billboard's Hot 100 charts in October, 1964.

P.P.S.  "All the leaves are brown, and the sky is grey."  So sang the Mamas & the Papas in "California Dreamin'" (1965), which was a huge hit single.  It is ranked #89 on Rolling Stone's "The 500 Greatest Songs of All Time."
